Civics is the study of rights and duties of citizenship. In other words, it is the study of government with attention to the role of citizens ― as opposed to external factors ― in the operation and oversight of government.

Me personally i think that civics is understanding the citizens rights and responsibilities. I think that the president and all the other important people up there are all tied in with civics.
I really don't have much on this topic.
But i am trying to write as much as i can about understanding this.
I think that civics should be used in the courtroom and in schools if more people study are citizenships rights and duties than i think we would be a lot better off now a days !

What Kind Of Game Do I Wanna Do ?

The kind of game I would like to make would be a game that is fun to do.
I think i would like one that is a puzzel and is hard to find out.
I would not want it to be easy.
I would like it to be a challenge to people one that they would not want to stop playing untill they beat it.
That is the kind of game I would like to create.

Word home is a place that helps alot of teenagers learn independence and get a good eduacation that otherwise they probly wouldnt be getting anywhere else. Ward home has helped so many teenagers they get to graduate highshool, they get their ged. The teenagers live in their own appartments they get a job and buy their own things which is good because that prepares them for the "real world". They also help girls that are pregnant or parenting which is very helpful to have someone support you and help you learn how to be responsible in life.

Who Is Jimmy Carter ?

James Earl Carter was born on October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia.
Peanut farming, talk of politics, and devotion to the Baptist faith were the things he was raised around.
He graduated  in 1946 from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Jimmy Carter married Rosalynn Smith. They have four kids  John William (Jack), James Earl III (Chip), Donnel Jeffrey (Jeff), and Amy Lynn.
After seven years service as a naval officer, Jimmy Carter returned to Plains. In 1962 he entered state politics, and eight years later he was elected Governor of Georgia. Among the new young southern governors, he attracted attention by emphasizing ecology, efficiency in government, and the removal of racial barriers.
Carter announced his candidacy for President in December 1974 and began a two-year campaign that gradually gained momentum.
At the Democratic Convention, he was nominated on the first ballot.
He chose Senator Walter F. Mondale of Minnesota as his running mate.
Carter campaigned hard against President Gerald R. Ford, debating with him three times.
Carter won by 297 electoral votes to 241 for Ford.
Carter worked hard to combat the continuing economic woes of inflation and unemployment.
By the end of his administration, he could claim an increase of nearly eight million jobs and a decrease in the budget deficit, measured in percentage of the gross national product.
Unfortunately, inflation and interest rates were at near record highs, and efforts to reduce them caused a short recession.

Carter could point to a number of achievements in domestic affairs.
He dealt with the energy shortage by establishing a national energy policy and by decontrolling domestic petroleum prices to stimulate production.
He prompted Government efficiency through civil service reform and proceeded with deregulation of the trucking and airline industries.
He sought to improve the environment.
His expansion of the national park system included protection of 103 million acres of Alaskan lands.
To increase human and social services, he created the Department of Education, bolstered the Social Security system, and appointed record numbers of women, blacks, and Hispanics to Government jobs.

In foreign affairs, Carter set his own style.
His championing of human rights was coldly received by the Soviet Union and some other nations.
In the Middle East, through the Camp David agreement of 1978, he helped bring amity between Egypt and Israel.
He succeeded in obtaining ratification of the Panama Canal treaties.
Building upon the work of predecessors, he established full diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China and completed negotiation of the SALT II nuclear limitation treaty with the Soviet Union.

There were serious setbacks, however.
The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan caused the suspension of plans for ratification of the SALT II pact.
The seizure as hostages of the U. S. embassy staff in Iran dominated the news during the last 14 months of the administration.
The consequences of Iran's holding Americans captive, together with continuing inflation at home, contributed to Carter's defeat in 1980.
Even then, he continued the difficult negotiations over the hostages.
Iran finally released the 52 Americans the same day Carter left office.

Five Years After Hurricane Katrina

Five years after Katrina people are still homeless to this day.
There are families living in trailers founded by FEMA, and they are not in the best condition themselves.
They are suppose to be temporary homes but their are many families that have been living in these trailers for quite some time.
FEMA kept telling this one family almost every other week that needed to get out of there temporary trailer. Unfortunately, there were few homes in the city available to rent at the time they were asked to get out of the FEMA trailer the family was staying in. Even if there was places to live this family had little money. So FEMA eventually decided on a solution that would both solve the the problem the agency had of their responsibility they had for the family. And to make the family happy they sold the family there trailer for only five dollars isn't that nice.
It is really expensive for the families who lost their homes because of Katrina. Most families are still homeless to this day five years later. Most of the families who had money before Katrina are the ones who are getting there homes built faster and easier than the ones who had little money. Some families thought they were getting a deal when contractors were building there homes over again. But there was this dry wall that was cheaper than regular dry wall that had came out after Katrina hit. But it was bad it was thin and it smelled bad after awhile it wasn't sturdy and people were having allergic reactions to it.
All in all life is very rough for everybody who lost their homes and jobs to Katrina are having a hard time still to this day and were very unfortunate to have lost everything they had owned.
